M.Tech in Power Systems & Engg.

Course Duration: Two Years

Eligibility for Admission:

 
Pass in B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent degree: AMIE in appropriate branch with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (in case of candidates from Karnataka belonging SC / ST / Cat-I, marks shall not be less than 45%). The Student should have qualified in GATE (EE) / PGCET Exam.
 


Academic Focus:
 
M.Tech (Power Systems) is a two year full time programme. An important branch of engineering, the program deals with issues at the intersection of electric power, economics and management of power and provides professional knowledge in power generation, transmission and distribution, and power equipment. The students can specialize in a range of subjects including Energy Management Systems which hold immense potential in the future global scenarios where efficient use of power comes to centre-stage.
