If you studied computer science subject in HSc level you can easily understand the concept of the this course . Normally this course is Science stream but you can join after any stream in HSC permit to do this course in some university such as bharathiar university tamilnadu.if you studied mathematics at HSC level that will help you handle mathematical problems in particular programming languages

After Bsc Computer Science you will have many option as higher studies the following are major:
M.Sc.Computer Science, MCA, M.Sc.IT, MBA, MIB, MSW, M.Sc. Software System
Similar course and disadvantages:
Normally bsc computer science is degree course but the different is that this course is known as professional course. There some of the course are similar to this course in syllabus and opportunities. BCA, BSc.IT, BSc.Software Systems etc are the similar syllabus and pattern of bsc computer science. in those courses there two or more subject are different from computer science, after BCA, BSc IT you can pursue MSc. computer science as your post graduation. So this indicate those all the course are similar that based on syllabus.
The notable thing is most of the students having fear to deal with mathematics. Bsc computer science having 3 semester mathematics and one semester accountancy, if you hate mathematics you can take BCA or BSc IT instead of BSc.CS, and some of the university dont allow candidate to take BSc.CS without Science background from HSc. but you can take BCA or BSc.IT by any stream in HSC
